Vacation Impressions

In my highly busy life, I can take photographs only when I am on vacation...However, my photographs even though they pertain to vacation scenes, they reflect my rapid and hasty life... With my camera, I try to capture those instances that give me pleasant emotions, those instances where I say, "This is life!" and with hastiness because I am worried that they may suddenly disappear. Travelling, dining, relaxing, culture, touring, entertainment... Vacationing is nice...

Süleymaniye

The Süleymaniye Mosque and its vicinity has a unique position thanks to its historical and architectural fabric. After the conquest of İstanbul, the first palace had been established here. When the Topkapı Palace was first constructed, it had been used only as a palace office whereas the Harem was left at Süleymaniye. After Harem moved to the palace, it remained to be an elite space. Süleymaniye Mosque is a masterpiece from its ground improvement to the fixing of its minaret with ropes. The neighborhood which accomodates many Bizantenium works of art lost its indigenious population in the recent years and received immigration to an important extent. It is certain that with the transformation project of the İstanbul municipality, the appearance of the neighborhood will considerably change.
